Activistas de Peta se manifiestan en Paris

Activistas del grupo PETA, defensores de los derechos de los animales pintados de zorro, conejo, mapache y lince, protestan contra la utilización de piel de animal coincidiendo con la semana de la moda de París. En los carteles puede leerse: !No somos abrigos!
“¡No a las pieles! ¡No a la tortura! ¡No somos abrigos!” gritaron las manifestantes en la prestigiosa plaza del Palais Royal en el centro de la capital francesa con motivo de los desfiles de la moda de confección femenina.
Después de unos diez minutos de manifestación, las militantes abandonaron el lugar sin incidentes.
“Elegimos la semana de la moda en París para sensibilizar al público. Esta acción recuerda que los animales de pieles no dejan de sufrir en criaderos especializados, en espera de su destino cruel e inevitable”, explicó Noemie Ventura, coodinadora de PeTA Francia.
“Creadores como Calvin Klein, Stella McCartney, Tommy Hilfiger y Ralph Lauren rechazan vender pieles. Ya es tiempo que otros creadores cambien y terminen su apoyo a esta industria violenta”, agregó.
